Stock tanks for fish (outside ponds)

625 gal. 8 ft. Round Poly Stock Tank

These type stock tanks are well worth the $ you pay for them
I have 1 this very size with goldfish in it 17 to be exact & in
the coldest winter season we have had so far in 2026 & has
held up, I have a pond heater in it that keeps the water from
freezing completely over & the gas exchange to escape.

I made a 2 in thick wall pvc frame that I put a roof grid on
it to support the lattice & shade cloth to keep the leaves
& sun out as well as the snow & predators, so far so good.

Making a Koi Pond <👀watch, This is a video of just
how people use these stock tanks as ponds for fish to
raise & sell or bait, even to raise as food to eat.

I've raised blue gills & catfish from the lake in these
type ponds & they do great as long as the water is in
the right condition for them & covered cause their
known for jumping, They both eat live food & will
eat tropical flakes, but live food is good for them.

But I enjoy raising goldfish for the enjoyment of
taking care of them & watching them swim around.

The goldfish I have are 1's I get from bait stores
& their just a inch long & when they get about 3
inches or bigger I sale them just B-4 winter &
get credit for other things I need for the pond.

That's a good way to support your pond fish &
your hobby of your hobby no matter what it is.

Ponds aren't hard to care for as long as you get
the right equipment for filtration, aeration, space
for swimming, hiding places, for protection, food.

As long as the pond is set up right & all is good
You may get blessed with goldfish fry as I have
as long as they have a place to hide from being
eaten by other goldfish,  then the fun begins, 💕
