  Keeping aquariums clean isn't hard work but long work in getting all the  over population of snails that eat any & everything in the aquarium including  your plants ( YES THEY DO & WILL DESTROY ALL your plant's) so the  best & ONLY way to get rid of them is do a FULL clean out, take everything  out & bleach everything OTHER than the live plant's, rocks, gravel, ornaments  even the filter canister, or any type of filter system your running in the tank. Once you have everything sitting in a tub of 50/50 bleach water soaking  don't drain the tank till you put a full cup of bleach (while the filter system is still running) this kills all the eggs & snails right in their tracks for good, including any driftwood that was in the aquarium. let the aquarium run for 6 hrs. & everything that is sitting in the bleach  as well this will kill any & all snails & all the eggs they have on all  that was in the tank, ho...

                              Making your own pond filtration system can be tricky & a lot of work To do what needs to be done for the fish & the pond, you have to do a LOT of research to know what it takes to make the right SIZE & enough filter media to filter the size pond you have.
