It's a slow process but it's getting there "6-25-26"

  We're working as the weather permits us to work with every other day rains  we get a few days of dry weather after a few days of rain it just don't help cause it makes it hot & humid to work in & with 2 people that's trying to get it done 1 up in his 80's & me with health issues that can't stand the heat OR do heights, doesn't help any to the cause at hand, BUT we're getting there. I wish I had of done this like 5 yrs ago BUT been my luck something would have went wrong somewhere in the mix & it would have been something else so here we are working to get it up & going B-4 winter & go from there. I'll work on getting some photos on here as I go to show you how far we  get each week, But for now this is where we are with it, Little by little, 1 day at a time, so here's what we have done SO FAR since we started this project. We have the PYWOOD up, we have the corking done that needed to be done B-hind the board-plywood to fill...

Getting a head start on the bog filter system "6-19-26"

I've been working on getting my bog filter system started  for the fish shelter we're fixing to start on hopefully soon if we can catch a break from the rain sometime in the next  few weeks, being it's mid June & the rainy season is here. I wasn't thinking when I bought the shelter BUT now that I have it & it's been under a plastic cover for a month & everything else has gotten in the way of getting this going I got to thinking why not get the bog system put together. So that's just what I've been doing BUT B-4 I got started I did a BUNCH of research on what I wanted to do & haven't found ANYTHING close to what I'm going to be doing & that's make a " DOUBLE WATERFALL " from a stock tank. YES you read that right, a 110 gal stock tank bog system With a 2700 gph pond pump for a 8 ft X 3 ft pond for Koi's butterfly Koi's at that & I have researched all that as well & it can be done if you think about it ...

The start of a dream come to reality Fish shed (5-4-2026)

                                                                        KOI FISH SHED  I have been waiting for so long to have me a fish shed & now I got it  It's a 15x18, I'm going to close it in to keep a study temperature for the  winter seasons where the 8 ft round pond & 2 aquariums don't freeze. It will take a little bit to get it set up cause we have to redo the outside wall of the cabin where the fish shed is going cause it needs it BAD so  to get that done I bought the carport -fish shed so the rest of the cabin  will get done after the fish shed is set up & THEN the cabin carport. Keeping fish aquariums clean 4 -12 - 26

  Keeping aquariums clean isn't hard work but long work in getting all the  over population of snails that eat any & everything in the aquarium including  your plants ( YES THEY DO & WILL DESTROY ALL your plant's) so the  best & ONLY way to get rid of them is do a FULL clean out, take everything  out & bleach everything OTHER than the live plant's, rocks, gravel, ornaments  even the filter canister, or any type of filter system your running in the tank. Once you have everything sitting in a tub of 50/50 bleach water soaking  don't drain the tank till you put a full cup of bleach (while the filter system is still running) this kills all the eggs & snails right in their tracks for good, including any driftwood that was in the aquarium. let the aquarium run for 6 hrs. & everything that is sitting in the bleach  as well this will kill any & all snails & all the eggs they have on all  that was in the tank, ho...

Stock tanks for fish (outside ponds)

Round Poly Stock Tank These type stock tanks are well worth the $ you pay for them  I have 1 this very size with goldfish in it 17 to be exact & in  the coldest winter season we have had so far in 2026 & has  held up, I have a pond heater in it that keeps the water from freezing completely over & the gas exchange to escape. I made a 2 in thick wall pvc frame that I put a roof grid on  it to support the lattice & shade cloth to keep the leaves  & sun out as well as the snow & predators, so far so good.
